Bing Wrights: Broken Mirror / Evening Sky , 2012
James Harris Gallery is pleased to present Broken Mirror/Evening Sky, a new series of striking landscape photographs by New York based artist Bing Wright. Departing from his usual pared down images in grey palettes, Wright offers us moving skyscape photographs of richly colored sunsets reflected onto broken mirrors. This new body of work marks his first return to color photography in almost a decade.
When you talk about beauty in broken things this better be what you’re talking about.

i’m wayyy happy with today’s face and hairdo. thanks to the numerous youtube videos i’ve watched recently on makeup and hair.
i recently bought nyx’s matte lipstick in nude and found it way too light for my skintone and i finally had the brains to mix it with my brownish kate liquid rouge. youtube has definitely made me a tiny bit savvier.

Been planning this for some time now. Literally went to the nail salon with pictures of what I wanted for each finger. It’s a Disneyland themed manicure, with all the icons of Disneyland. I had wanted to include Churros and Turkey Legs, but I realised they wouldn’t look as appetizing in acrylic paint!
After a grueling 3 and a half hour session, the ladies at Manicurious nailed the look (pun intended). They were extremely professional and patient, wiping off the entire piece if they felt it didn’t look right.
My favourites have got to be Tinkerbell and the castle. Oh, and the balloons!
I’ll definitely be back at Manicurious for more nail art. LOOOOOVE!
for being patient, kind and understanding. for loving our similarities, and embracing our differences. for laughing at my not-so-funniness. for holding me up when things aren’t so rosy. for believing that i’ll one day be awesome. for constantly reminding me to not miss out on the little things. for being there for not just me, but my family too. for the one year of crazy laughter over silliness. // i might just well be the luckiest girl. here’s to many, many more. // happy first year, love. adventure is out there, let’s go. <3
